Night Awake Treatment Pedagogue at SiS LVM Home Renforsen

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS LVM Home Renforsen is located in Vindeln and provides care for men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, combined with mental health issues.

Job Description

Do you want to be part of creating life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a night awake treatment pedagogue at SiS LVM Home Renforsen is a meaningful challenge. We are now looking for six treatment pedagogues/assistants who are interested in working with us at Renforsen. As a night awake treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants, treatment pedagogues, and operational leaders. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support to clients during the night. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and ensure that clients receive the right support and security during the night. The work includes practical tasks such as cleaning, as well as being a mentor to new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are according to a night schedule, and the employment rate is 79.1 percent.

As a summer substitute at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

You should also have:

  • At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.
  • Driver's license B
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing

*Exceptions to the requirement for at least a two-year post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., in psychiatry or LSS care
  • Experience in client-facing positions within other government agencies
  • Education in care and welfare
  • Experience working with our target group within substance abuse care

We want to reward you who help us during the summer period; therefore, those who work full-time as monthly employed substitutes for more than four weeks will receive a bonus. You will receive more information about what applies during the interview.

Employment

The position is a fixed-term employment during the holiday period from week 25 to 32. A total of six positions for night awake.
